Bellezza collaborates with photographer and designer CHAN in a new audiovisual menu. In this case, Bellezza chef Davy van Wezel and CHAN take this literally. Together they created a menu around the theme ‘Mother Earth’. Bellezza makes you reflect on the abundant splendour that nature gives us. Mother Earth provides us with so much good every day. Let us be aware of our responsibility to cherish and protect it.

The video artworks that CHAN created for Bellezza reflect her recognisable style. The daring styling of the models, using make-up with 3D elements, the deep and rich colours she uses, and the diversity of her models are all caracteristic elements of CHAN. Four characters – the Soil, Fresh Waters, Salt Waters, and Under the Ground – guide guests through the menu. For example, when Davy’s dish with potatoes and fresh truffle appears on the table, the Under the Ground Devil wanders through her burning pitchfork. As Melcher de Wind, creator and owner of Bellezza calls it; ‘The fantasy worlds that CHAN creates, fit beautifully with the general idea of Bellezza.’

Together they created a menu around the theme ‘Food is my Religion’, A corportation that is a tribute to the history of the Bethaniënklooster, the building that surrounds restaurant Bellezza.

For example, when Davy’s vegetable dish with green cabbage appears on the table, Maria wanders through her garden, picking the herbs and vegetables you are enjoying.
